1. Who these terms cover
These terms apply to TetherRust's website, community spaces, and unofficial Rust game servers (together, the “Services”). By using them, you agree to these terms and our server rules. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. TetherRust is an independent community and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Facepunch Studios Ltd.
2. Accounts and linking
You are responsible for activity under your Steam and Discord accounts. Do not impersonate another player, share sign-in access, or try to bypass a ban or security control. Steam sign-in identifies your website account; Discord linking is optional. The free starter kit is available in game through /kit starter without linking either account. Any separate Discord reward follows the in-game /auth process. See our privacy notice for information about account and gameplay data.
3. Playing on our servers
Follow the posted server rules and staff instructions. Cheating, exploits, harassment, threats, fraud, and interference with the servers are not allowed. Staff may warn, mute, remove, or ban players to protect the community. If you believe a moderation decision was a mistake, contact staff through our Discord server.
4. Wipes, availability, and changes
Rust worlds wipe, game software changes, and servers may be restarted, unavailable, or discontinued. Items, structures, and progress inside a game world can be lost or reset as part of ordinary gameplay and scheduled wipes. Published wipe times and features are plans, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service. We will try to give notice of material changes where practical.
5. Digital purchases and subscriptions
Store products are digital benefits for the game servers, not physical goods. The product page and checkout show the current price, duration, and included benefits. PayNow processes payments as merchant of record. Its Terms of Use, Buyer Agreement, and Privacy Policy apply to the payment. If a purchase does not arrive or works incorrectly, contact us through Discord with your order ID so we can investigate.
A recurring product renews at the interval and price displayed at checkout until canceled. You can manage eligible subscriptions from your account page or through PayNow's subscription portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not by itself refund a previous charge. Refund requests are reviewed under PayNow's buyer terms and applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.
6. Content and intellectual property
Rust and related game assets belong to Facepunch Studios Ltd. or their respective owners. Our community name, original site content, and custom materials belong to their respective owners. Do not upload content you lack the right to share or use our Services to infringe another person's rights. See our media rights notice for more detail.
7. Limits and responsibility
We operate a community game service, not a guarantee of continued access, a particular player population, or the preservation of in-game progress. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided as available and we are not responsible for losses caused by ordinary game wipes, downtime, or another player's conduct. This section does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.
8. Updates and contact
